This unique necklace is made with sterling silver, prasiolite and sea pottery fragment suspended on an 18 inch .925 silver-plated chain.
Prasiolite is sometimes known as “green amethyst”, as it is produced by heat-treating amethyst. It is a beautiful, calming color reminiscent of fresh spring onions–hence rooted in “prason”, the Greek word for “leek.” It is associated the heart chakra and symbolizes a connection with nature.
Sea pottery, like sea glass, are naturally tumbled by lake and sea and found on beaches and shorelines. This particular piece was found along the shore of Lake Michigan.
