These earrings feature 2,000 year old Roman glass and burnished silver with a post stud setting.
Romans used glass in nearly every aspect of their daily life and were one of the largest producers of glass in ancient times. This glass is still sought after today, and can be found in its original object form as well as fragments, which are often used in jewelry and bead making. When you wear a piece of ancient Roman glass jewelry, you are wearing two millennia of history. It’s one of my absolute favorite materials for it’s incredible historical value as well as the gorgeous ocean-like colors and patinas. Each piece is exceptionally unique.
